Fred for Model Number WFW8400TW00 On this whirlpool Duet Sport ht, We had a drain problem. We replaced the drain pump, and now we cannot get cold water in any cycle or rinse. We have checked the water inlet valves and got a reading with the multimeter of 880 on the hot and cold water valves. We have checked the hoses and there are no blockages or buildups. There are no error codes for water temp issues or anything like that. We did get an F30 before we changed the pump. Any suggestions? I even tried turning the hot water off in the house, but the internal heater must have heated it cuz it still was very hot! Do you think the valves could still need replaces or the temperature sensor could be causing the problem or is it the ccu? Please help. We are losing it!
Answer Hello Fred. Check the wiring harness and make sure it was not damaged. If not, then test for power to the cold water valve. If there is power there, and no cold water, replace the valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
