Rayanne777 for Model Number MEDC200XW0 My dryer is taking up to 3x longer to dry, could this be the blower wheel? It's getting hot and spinning but taking forever. It had stopped spinning about 2 weeks ago, I took it apart today and found that one of the pulleys had come off, I put it back and put the belt back on, but still taking at least 3 hours to dry.
Answer Hello Rayanne777. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked or the blower wheel is bad. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 12, 2015
Answer Rayanne, You will want to check the venting from the blower wheel to the outside of the unit to make sure that the vent is clear and free of obstructions which is the most likely cause for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 12, 2015
