This is a genuine replacement exhaust valve. The exhaust valve allows the engine to exhaust as needed. This part also includes the retaining ring, which holds the valve in place as it moves in and out to allow the exhaust to escape from the system. Over time and due to repetitive motion, this valve can break down or become damaged. A replacement will be necessary for proper operation of the machine. If the exhaust valve is faulty, the engine may not run correctly. It may not run at all. A replacement will ensure proper operation of outdoor equipment. Be sure to wear gloves and allow the engine to cool completely before doing any type of engine repairs. This OEM exhaust valve is manufactured by Tecumseh. It meets manufacturer standards for an OEM replacement and is compatible with several machines from the brand. The exhaust valve is sold as an individual part and does not include any additional parts or hardware. Those must be purchased separately.
