Description

This bake solenoid controls gas flow to the main oven's bake burner. When energized by the control, it opens the safety valve so the igniter can light the flame and the oven can heat and maintain your set temperature. What it does:

• Opens and closes gas flow to the bake burner during a call for heat
• Works with the igniter/flame-sensing system to light the bake flame
• Helps maintain set temperature by cycling gas flow during bake
• Typical symptoms of a failing solenoid: bake burner won't ignite, igniter glows with no flame, or the burner lights then shuts off

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before servicing
• Access the oven valve/solenoid assembly per your unit's service manual
• Transfer electrical connectors one at a time; ensure proper orientation and secure fit
