Jonathan F Ridgefield , CT September 06, 2014 Appliance: Bosch WFR2460 UC/01 (FD 8201-) Sometime display blank wouldn't lock door or start t:1 error codes er 1 showed errors manual run of factory diagnostic tests t:3 proved all mechanicals were good t:7 indicated the selector switch Took the chance that the $900 Control Module part was the real problem and replaced it. Problem solved. After the new Control Module was installed and working I opened the plastic clamshell surrounding the old Control Module which confirmed the faint electronics burning smell I had detected while running diagnostics. Between the selector switch and the r/edge of the circuit board was a burned transformer (that electric black soot was everywhere) and 3 burned resistors. They had gotten hot enough so as to have scorched through the circuit board.
