Bosch 00647474 Dishwasher Main Control Board OEM Part

Called ' Parts ' for a Main Control Unit for my 1994 Bosch Dish Washer . Received in 7 Days. Instructions came with it . I'm a Electrician with 60 yrs experience. Followed instructions . It had several different models listed , be sure to use the proper model for programing . Call Parts to be sure you get the right unit for your machine . I tried ordering on line and got the wrong part , was confusing . Got the new control installed , back in service . G.D.Richardson LaPorte IN.

I accessed the failed control unit by removing the upper fascia, lower door covering and upper housing from the upper fascia in that order. I disconnected the failed unit and reconnected the new unit per instructions. The control unit requires power to be properly programed and that can only happen when door is latched. So I ended up putting the upper housing and lower door cover back on without the fascia. That allowed me to close the door and program the unit, after which I reattached the upper fascia.

Chat representative helped me identify why my dishwasher had stopped operating and then directed me to the appropriate replacement part and a repair video showing how to remove the old one. Had the new control panel in four days.

I started by removing the screws from the inside of the door. Unfortunately I removed too many, which released the door from the spring loaded hinges….Ugggg! I realized I didn't have to remove the door just the top section of the door where the control unit lives. After replacing the spring loaded hinge back to the door by myself which was not easy task. I accessed the top of dishwasher where the new unit lives and replaced the unit. It was actually not that bad . Removing the too many screws was!!! But the good news, the dishwasher works. Yippee!!!

Ordered replacement part from AppliancePartsPros.com and had my appliance repair man install it, then ran Afresh dishwasher cleaner on trial run. Now dishes come out sparkling clean.
