William M Cornish , NH April 25, 2015 Appliance: Model THERMADOR REF30 Heating element blew up I ordered a new heating element from AppliancePartsPros.com after watching their video showing how easy it is to replace one. I got the replacement within a week. Just like the video, I unscrewed the old damaged element. I was careful not to lose the wires (actually used vice-grips to hold them just in case). I unplugged the old element and removed it. It was a little tricky pulling it out as the connectors were angled up. I tilted the element up to get a better angle for pulling it out. Then, I plugged in the new element, tilted it back in place and screwed it in. Afterward, I ran the oven. There was a slight smell to the new element, but not bad. I baked a frozen pizza as a test and it came out perfectly. 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
