Kurt T Naperville , IL April 08, 2015 Appliance: Model THERMADOR C272U F24 error code Replaced the display board and put in a new gasket to prevent the heat from escaping the oven and eventually "cooking" the display board. New parts worked perfectly and were easy to install, just had to keep track of a few screws and cables, nothing to it otherwise. Shipping was insanely fast- I ordered on a Friday afternoon, chose their standard shipping, and my parts were delivered the next day- Saturday morning- by 9am. My oven was working again by 10am. Amazing service! Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Sue P Hinsdale , IL May 18, 2015 The gasket on my oven door was allowing heat to leak out the top I had the same problem on my lower oven a few years ago. I watched the guy pop the old one out and pop the new one in then hand me a bill for $240. I decided to look into ordering one for the upper oven door and replacing it myself. It was so easy and cost $60. So happy I could do it myself and save some money. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
Keith S Carmel , CA December 04, 2015 Appliance: Model THERMIDOR C271US Error codes after turning off a hot oven eventually leading to relay board failure and over temp I had a spare relay board, so I changed it. But to finally address the root cause, I changed the door hinges and the door seal. Videos from Appliancepartspros were quite helpful, but we're too generic on one point. Thermidor oven hinge springs must be released before they can be removed frm the door. This fact and how to do it were not covered. The need was obvious once the door was disassembled and the hinges were exposed. But I am very cautious about compressed springs when I don't know how strong they really are! I found another video which assured me that by placing a screwdriver handle across the hinge hook and leaning on it, the hinges could be released safely. After reassembling the door in order to make a stable platform, the rest was a snap! (without any loud snaps ;-). Would have been 10 minutes without confusion over the springs.
