John J Newtown Square , PA February 24, 2019 Cord connecting spring to door hinge broke. Got new replacement spring and cord for our Bosch compact dishwasher. A plastic retaining bracket that held the old spring also was broke but the new spring had its own piece that fit into a slot in the plastic frame, so i just popped it in there, connected the cord, and bingo. The door now works. I tried using the old spring, but it would not work because of the broke bracket. Roger B Winston-Salem , NC September 29, 2018 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHX68T55UC/02 A door spring (actually the connector rope) broke on one side of our dishwasher making it feel heavy hard to close and easy to "drop" (potentially damaging the door hinges) Checked out the AppliancePartsPros.com online parts/assembly diagrams for our Bosch dishwasher model and ordered the two sided set of new springs + connector ropes + connector-to-door ... plus a couple of other relatively inexpensive adjoining parts that might have become worn over time, just in case they were needed. The extra parts arrived in two days with standard shipping. Called about the "back ordered" primary set of parts (which had been listed as being "in stock" when I placed the order). A very helpful lady took our call and was able to arrange to have the parts shipped directly to us arriving two days later. Pulling the dishwasher out from the cabinet was the hardest part of the fix. The broken rope was quickly evident. The new parts fit perfectly and installed easily. In less than 2 hours the job was done - including the time to go out to the barn for necessary tools, cleaning up behind the dishwasher and around its front, putting everything back, and cleaning up the mess of stuff that had been in the sink cabinet where all the electrical and plumbing connections were made. And in the case of my model - given the extra lengths of power cord and water supply and drain piping in my installation - I could have done it all without disconnectiing anything which would have cut the time spent in half. Nicholas B Leawood , KS December 09, 2018 Broken hinge on door to dishwasher Called Appliance Pros for their expert advice on the parts I needed for the Dishwasher. It did come with some instruction on how to accomplish but would have liked to have had clearer instruction on the replacement of the springs to the dishwasher. But, definitely had the right parts and tools so finished the job in about 30 minutes.
