Roger B Winston-Salem , NC September 29, 2018 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHX68T55UC/02 A door spring (actually the connector rope) broke on one side of our dishwasher making it feel heavy hard to close and easy to "drop" (potentially damaging the door hinges) Checked out the AppliancePartsPros.com online parts/assembly diagrams for our Bosch dishwasher model and ordered the two sided set of new springs + connector ropes + connector-to-door ... plus a couple of other relatively inexpensive adjoining parts that might have become worn over time, just in case they were needed. The extra parts arrived in two days with standard shipping. Called about the "back ordered" primary set of parts (which had been listed as being "in stock" when I placed the order). A very helpful lady took our call and was able to arrange to have the parts shipped directly to us arriving two days later. Pulling the dishwasher out from the cabinet was the hardest part of the fix. The broken rope was quickly evident. The new parts fit perfectly and installed easily. In less than 2 hours the job was done - including the time to go out to the barn for necessary tools, cleaning up behind the dishwasher and around its front, putting everything back, and cleaning up the mess of stuff that had been in the sink cabinet where all the electrical and plumbing connections were made. And in the case of my model - given the extra lengths of power cord and water supply and drain piping in my installation - I could have done it all without disconnectiing anything which would have cut the time spent in half. Kathleen O West Chester , PA July 22, 2017 I fell backwards & dishwasher door was open i won the battle! i have the bruises & bent hinges to prove it I went on your very user friendly website and looked up my bosch dishwasher. I love your diagrams and I felt confident that I could figure out what we possibly needed to get the door to close correctly and get the washer back working again. Your staff is courteous, service was fast and I would definitely recommend Appliance Parts Pros. John W Moline , IL September 10, 2017 I accidentally wrenched the door hinge assembly on install breaking the little plastic hinge bushing Ordered the full hinge piece and an extra bushing. Was able just to slide the dishwasher forward a bit, lift the right side hinge off its seat and pop in the new bushing without disassembling. Fixed! I am retaining the full hinge piece in case of any future door incident but suspect I will never need it Read More... 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Dave O Corvallis , OR March 30, 2020 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHE68T55UC/03 Door springs broke out of the plastic base of the dishwasher. The springs as delivered from Bosch are held in place by the plastic base. These are not durable and both sides of mine cracked out in less than 4 years of use. I didn't have a clue how I was going to resolve this issue but I ordered a spring set and discovered that they came equipped with METAL brackets which you pound into place with a hammer into a different plastic channel in the base.
