Alan B Temple , TX January 20, 2015 Appliance: Model SMW272YB/SN20090038 Thermador oven door would not fully close After being told that Thermdor no longer supported my oven unit, i searched the Internet and found Appliance Parts Pros. I provided my model no. and serial no. and asked if they had a door spring that would work with my unit. After two days I recieved an answer of yes and I immediately ordered the door springs. To my surprise the two springs arrived the next day. I removed the door and the eight screws for access to the springs. It was really easy. In fact I was mad at myself for calling a repair technian that in the long run did not fix my oven. The repair took a little longer because I took the opportunity to replace both light bulbs. Bruce H Barrington , IL May 25, 2015 The door would not close properly extraordinary length of time to reach proper temperature Replaced the door hinges, immediately noticed a difference in the spring tension and tightness with which the oven door closed. The next use of the oven there was a marked reduction in the amount of time for the oven to achieve temperature, as well as a reduction in the required cooking time.
