Sameer B San Francisco , CA September 23, 2018 Our Bosch washing machine won't start and on inspection found the door lock was worn out so the door wasn't locking I did some research on the web and found a video that showed that I can easily replace the door lock. The next step was to order the part. I had used AppliancePartsPros.com in the past, did a quick part search, ordered it and the part arrived in less than 2 days at my house. Its super easy to replace the door lock, you just remove the water seal from the washing machine front end loader, detach the electrical wires and the backup unlock hook and attach the new part. It was a little difficult to put the water sealant back as the spring is a little hard to put on, but we were successful at last. The washing was back running. Kudos to AppliancePartsPro.com for the speedy delivery, saved us from the accumulating dirty laundry. Henry S New York , NY September 29, 2019 Appliance: Model BOSCH WAS24460UCAXXIS Repetitive electric door latch switch failure Found that the window/door's handle's to window/door's latch connection had failed and the window/door's hinge had fatigued, resulting in a misalignment of door latch to electric door latch and its subsequent breaking, Accessing, disconnecting and reconnecting the wiring to the lock was difficult and requires partial removal of the rubber drum connecting the washing machine's interior tumbler to the machine's front frame opening. There is not adequate wire harness length to "see" and manage the reconnection of the switch to harness once disconnected. Finally, the installation of the replacement switch to machine body face was a "slip and lock" connection not positively screwed as originally designed. Craig G Pompano Beach , FL July 27, 2020 Door latch would not engage so that machine would not start I replaced the door interlock and it solved the problem. Check YouTube for videos on how to replace the part. It was easy to remove the big wire spring to get the rubber seal loose, and fairly easy to replace the part, but the tricky part is getting the wire spring back on. Read More...
