Sameer B San Francisco , CA September 23, 2018 Our Bosch washing machine won't start and on inspection found the door lock was worn out so the door wasn't locking I did some research on the web and found a video that showed that I can easily replace the door lock. The next step was to order the part. I had used AppliancePartsPros.com in the past, did a quick part search, ordered it and the part arrived in less than 2 days at my house. Its super easy to replace the door lock, you just remove the water seal from the washing machine front end loader, detach the electrical wires and the backup unlock hook and attach the new part. It was a little difficult to put the water sealant back as the spring is a little hard to put on, but we were successful at last. The washing was back running. Kudos to AppliancePartsPro.com for the speedy delivery, saved us from the accumulating dirty laundry. Henry S New York , NY September 29, 2019 Appliance: Model BOSCH WAS24460UCAXXIS Repetitive electric door latch switch failure Found that the window/door's handle's to window/door's latch connection had failed and the window/door's hinge had fatigued, resulting in a misalignment of door latch to electric door latch and its subsequent breaking, Accessing, disconnecting and reconnecting the wiring to the lock was difficult and requires partial removal of the rubber drum connecting the washing machine's interior tumbler to the machine's front frame opening. There is not adequate wire harness length to "see" and manage the reconnection of the switch to harness once disconnected. Finally, the installation of the replacement switch to machine body face was a "slip and lock" connection not positively screwed as originally designed. Nanci U Gig Harbor , WA November 20, 2024 Our door lock broke We got on YouTube and found out how to get to it. Ordered a new one and installed it. Works great now. Once we got inside we found a large abandoned mouse nest putting pressure on the switch as the drum turned! That is most likely why it malfunctioned and eventually broke. Read More... Deborah S Fort Myers , FL April 25, 2021 Appliance: Model WAS24460UC/28 BOSCH AXXIS WASHER F61 Googled error code, found YouTube video describing issue and fix. Ordered the door switch/lock (which was suggested as the issue item) and opted to also order a new fastening ring in case the old one broke during removal or replacement. Selected next-day shipping option at the time of order. Followed instructions in YouTube video. The repair was easy but fiddly. Took longer to reinstall the fastening ring than it took to do the rest of the repair. Opted to install a new fastening ring although the old one looked like it would have worked fine. The washer works like a charm. Order and delivery from Appliance Parts Pros was exactly as described - correct parts received by noon the day after the order.was placed. Read More... Craig G Pompano Beach , FL July 27, 2020 Door latch would not engage so that machine would not start I replaced the door interlock and it solved the problem. Check YouTube for videos on how to replace the part. It was easy to remove the big wire spring to get the rubber seal loose, and fairly easy to replace the part, but the tricky part is getting the wire spring back on. Read More... Frederick P Redding , CA December 31, 2019 Appliance: Model BOSH AXXIS WASHER MODEL WNM55900031101 The door lock on my Bosch front loading washing machine was broken Watched a you tube video on how to do the repair. Overnighted the part for delivery the next day. Of course the model on the video was the simple machine to get to the part and remove and replace. Our machine required removal of the top, and the front panel in addition to the front kick plate. Of course the kick plate was much more complicated to remove than the one demonstrated on you tube. However all said and done I got it done and put back together in a little over one hour. The total cost was less than it would have cost for the repair man/woman to get called out to make the diagnosis, then order the part and return a day or two later. The call-out alone would have cost about $45 more than I paid and I still would have paid the cost of the part too. All in all, it was a great deal. Read More...
