Karen F Las Vegas , NV May 25, 2019 My child fell on the open dishwasher door, causing the door to overextend when open and not close properly. It was surprisingly easy to remove the door, remove the hinges, then install the new hinges. On my model, the right hinge has a wiring harness attached, but I just removed from the old hinge and attached it to the new one. You need to be careful about moving the door too far the the cabinet because of attached wires. I needed a torx bit for the screws and a flathead screwdriver for prying the hinges off their pins. Also, a needle-nose pliers helped for pinching the wiring harness clip to remove it from the right hinge. The project was easy enough to have my elementary aged kids help. Cynthia F Hilo , HI February 02, 2020 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHE68T55UC/02 Door not holding close and leaking water Replaced the springs and due to age, went ahead and replaced side & top strips and door gasket. The challenge has been leveling the machine and making sure the gasket actually works (there has been leakage but we noticed the gasket at the bottom was straight and it seems to fix the problem). I think it will take longer than a few moves up and down for the gasket and trim to form a nice seal with the door. The cleaning of the appliance took the longest and I went out of my way to do additional stuff that was technically not part of the overall repair (I noticed in your videos, nicely glossed over). But anytime I pull an appliance out, I do extra deep cleaning in the back and inspect around for any other issues (like unwanted insect nests). The actual overall repair was about 30-60 minutes and included watching the very useful videos you have online. (by the way - the videos are excellent!)
