How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP5691313 / 00744998 Side Trim Strip

I only needed a flat head screwdriver to remove the clips holding the parts in. It took all of 10 minutes and the dish washer is running great now. 

Replaced the springs and due to age, went ahead and replaced side & top strips and door gasket. The challenge has been leveling the machine and making sure the gasket actually works (there has been leakage but we noticed the gasket at the bottom was straight and it seems to fix the problem). I think it will take longer than a few moves up and down for the gasket and trim to form a nice seal with the door. The cleaning of the appliance took the longest and I went out of my way to do additional stuff that was technically not part of the overall repair (I noticed in your videos, nicely glossed over). But anytime I pull an appliance out, I do extra deep cleaning in the back and inspect around for any other issues (like unwanted insect nests). The actual overall repair was about 30-60 minutes and included watching the very useful videos you have online. (by the way - the videos are excellent!)

My very expensive dishwasher began leaking at 5 years. I ordered the dishwasher seal plus outer side strips (sides plus upper). I removed those items, cleaned debris/crud off and reinstalled. Working perfect now. 

Replaced seals 

Replaced circulation pump / heater element. Replaced trim strips as they were damaged during removal of appliance.

We were given an old dishwasher and when we tried it out it leaked all over the floor and spurted water out the door latch. We purchased a new latch, new gasket, door bottom gasket, and trim strips. Replaced all the seals, except the lower door seal. It worked out great, easy to do.
