Rodney K Honolulu , HI October 02, 2014 Dishwasher would not clean dishes soap compartment would open but soap still in compartment The indications made me think the dishwasher was not shooting water. I checked the water valve with a voltmeter and it was getting power to open. I disconnected the line to make sure the water line was not plugged. Then I bypassed the door switch and ran the dishwasher with the door open and did not see the water filling which pointed to the inlet valve. I ordered the valve which came quickly. Replaced the valve and now the dishes are clean! Removed the water control valve from the Bosch dishwasher.(Had to remove the washer from the cabinets) Found the part on line and ordered it. It was here in less than two days, installed it and put the dishwasher back together and in its place. It worked just like new. We live in a rural area and it would not have made sense to have a repairman travel here. It was repaired for $140 compared to an unknown amount. VERY HAPPY! Glade the problem was not something else.
