Rodney K Honolulu , HI October 02, 2014 Dishwasher would not clean dishes soap compartment would open but soap still in compartment The indications made me think the dishwasher was not shooting water. I checked the water valve with a voltmeter and it was getting power to open. I disconnected the line to make sure the water line was not plugged. Then I bypassed the door switch and ran the dishwasher with the door open and did not see the water filling which pointed to the inlet valve. I ordered the valve which came quickly. Replaced the valve and now the dishes are clean! Matt I Great Neck , NY April 15, 2015 Appliance: Model GM 288-710 Water not flowing into dishwasher After reading about others' experiences, decided to try replacing the water inlet valve on my 20 year old Gaggenau dishwasher. This was the problem and the part from AppliancePartsPros was a fix. On the Gaggenau dishwasher, remove the front lower bottom panel and you will see the water inlet valve at the front. My friend did the work, so I'm not sure of all the tools he used, took about an hour, plus cycling the dishwasher through just to make sure it ran okay. Read More...
