A carburetor on a lawn or garden appliance often has a float-feed chamber or bowl mounted on one side. This is a miniature fuel tank that takes a trickle feed from the main fuel supply. A carburetor is unable to use fuel that is under pressure, so the float chamber keeps everything at atmospheric pressure. When any sort of dirt or debris enters the fuel and air passages, it can cause an array of issues. The debris may enter due to shrinkage of O-rings and gaskets, and that is why a replacement gasket is essential. A carburetor screwdriver is essential when making this repair. Replacing it involves removing several pieces of the carburetor assembly, including a float assembly, inlet needle valve, and the old fuel bowl gasket itself. This authentic replacement carburetor bowl gasket will fit a small engine carburetor bowl on wood chippers, leaf blowers, pressure washers, tillers, snowblowers, lawnmowers, and small engines. It is compatible with Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Simplicity, Lawn-Boy, Cub Cadet, and Snapper, among others.

The washer seal is an essential part of the carburetor float bowl on engines with carburetors on lawn mowers. This washer prevents gasoline leaks from the carburetor by sealing the bolt to the bowl. The washer seal is normally replaced when overhauling the carburetor. Reusing the old one is not recommended. If the seal between the bolt and the bowl is not tight, gasoline could leak and cause damage to the engine or cause bodily injury due to combustion. There are normally two bolts on the carburetor bowl. Each bolt will have a washer seal. It is a good idea to replace both seals at the same time to ensure both are flush with the bowl. When replacing the washer seal, it has to be flush and tight but not overtightened. If it is overtightened, it can crack and strip, making it leak and useless. If necessary, the washer can be trimmed to make a tighter fit. After making sure the fit is flush, it slides over the bolts that make the connection from the bolt to the bowl. The bolts are then tightened. This OEM Midwest Engine washer seal is sold individually for Briggs and Stratton lawn mower and lawn tractor engines.
This genuine Midwest Engine carburetor gasket set facilitates the proper flow of air and fuel into the carburetor on a snowblower, which in turn sets off the spark plugs to ignite the engine. The air and fuel flow into the engine must occur at the proper ratio, which the carburetor gasket sets. The carburetor gasket set of a snowblower can be subject to damage. Signs of a damaged carburetor gasket set that is not performing its function properly include oil leaks of any size. Small leaks in the carburetor gasket can result in undue air flowing into the carburetor, though a small leak will not result in serious damage. Larger leaks can result in reduced fuel economy, and this will mean that the carburetor gasket set should be removed and replaced. The snowblower should not be used until this removal and replacement have occurred. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This carburetor gasket set is compatible with the following brands: Generac and Briggs & Stratton. This part is sold individually.
