A hex screw fastens and holds two components together. It has a hexagonal head and features threading starting underneath the shoulder down to the tip. Its all-metal construction offers rigidity and longer lifespan. It is also threaded, so you can conveniently loosen or tighten in position. It measures 1/4-20 x 0.5 inch and comes in brass or gold color. Take note that this replacement hex screw may beused in different locations of a machine.
