The glass touch control board is the computer that controls the glass touchpad for ovens controlling the oven's settings and primary functions. If the touchpad is no longer responsive, this could mean it's time to be replaced. Luckily, replacing a glass touch control board is a fairly simple repair. Start by shutting off the power to the oven by either unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker. Pull the oven away from the wall and access the back panel. Remove the panel and locate the touchpad control board. Snap it out of its mounting brackets and remove the wire harness along with the individual wires. Take note of the wire's orientation. Reinsert the wire harness and wires to their correct terminals on the new touchpad board. Pop the touchpad into place and resecure the upper back panel.This genuine replacement part is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand ovens.
