If the dryer is no longer turning on, or not working properly, this could mean it's time for a new control board. To replace the control board, first, make sure the dryer is unplugged. Pull out the dryer and remove the 2 screws that secure the top panel of the appliance. Pull the back panel back and release the mounting tabs. Pull the top panel off of the dryer. Use a screwdriver to release the locking tabs from the wire connectors. Pull the wire harness, and remove the screw slide the control board to release it from the brackets. Touch the metal cabinet to dissipate static electricity. Position the new control board on the support bracket and push it into the mounting slots. Lock it into place and replace the mounting screw. Do not overtighten. Reconnect the wires to the new control board, snap the board back into the locking tab.This genuine replacement control board is compatible with LG brand dryers.
