This part is a range oven control board. It is responsible for monitoring the temperature of the oven, as well as controlling the bake and light functionalities. The user sets their preferences via the control panel, which sends a signal to the control board. The board then adjusts the temperature as needed and handles other functionality. Although the range oven control board does not contain moving parts, it will suffer from wear and tear. This is particularly true of exposure to moisture and heat. Over time, the board can degrade, leading to problems with operation. To replace the control board, unplug the oven. Remove the protective cowl from the top of the oven, then locate the control board with the display. Remove the mounting screws and unplug the wiring connector. Install the new board by following these steps in reverse.This oven control board is a genuine OEM part and it's sold separately. It is compatible with Whirlpool and Jenn-Air ovens.
