A magneto armature, also called a magneto charger, is a device that provides electric voltage to a spark plug in lieu of a battery. Small gasoline-powered engines that do not have batteries use magneto charges to produce the power to fire a spark plug, combusting the fuel mixture and turning over the engine. More than 150 different gasoline engines, primarily those used by snowblowers, leaf blowers, vacuum, and mowers, use this type of magneto armature. While these devices can last for the lifetime of the engine it is attached to, magneto armatures are exposed to extremely high voltage and they do occasionally break down as a result of extensive use. If an engine simply will not start, it's a good idea to use a multimeter to test the magneto. When replacing the magneto charger, purchase a replacement such as this genuine OEM manufactured replacement part that is built according to the same specifications as the original part. Typically, the magneto sits atop the engine housing and is attached to the engine coil. When checking the magneto, it's a good idea to test the engine coil as well, as the two may be replaced at the same time. This magneto is compatible with engines built by Toro and Briggs & Stratton.
This genuine OEM part is a rocker switch for lawnmower engines. A rocker switch is the component that allows the user to power the engine. If the rocker switch is no longer functioning and not turning the engine on and off as intended, it might need to be replaced. While replacing a rocker switch may seem like a difficult task, it is actually a simple fix.To replace the rocker switch, pry it off using a flathead screwdriver. Once removed from the mower, unplug the wire harness attached to it. Once unplugged, replace with the new switch. Snap the switch back into its original position and test if it has been installed correctly. If the mower turns on and the engine is able to start, then the installation was a success. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Briggs and Stratton lawnmowers.

There is no installation process involved, so there's no need for additional tools. Once the replacement ignition key set is acquired, it can be used to get equipment back up and running. Simply turn the key to engage the motor and the lawn equipment will be ready to use. This ignition key set is designed for use with lawnmowers, wood chippers, snowblowers, generators, tillers, and pressure washers.
