This is an authentic OEM replacement bracket locking screw sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on range tops. The stovetop bracket is attached to the stovetop and the stove body. This locking screw is a fully threaded 2.1-inch screw. If this screw becomes loose or rusted, it should be removed and replaced to ensure the stovetop remains fully seated and in good working condition. If the screw is missing, the stovetop bracket will not be fully functional, and the stovetop could become loose. To start, disconnect the power and gas from the unit before replacing the screw on the bracket. Make certain the stove burners are not hot. Remove the burner grates, burner caps, and control knobs. Lift the range top cover. Locate the mounting bracket on the wall unit. If the screw is in the bracket but has rusted, use a screwdriver to remove the missing screw. Set the nut aside for use on the new screw. Install the new screw and the nut from the last screw. Check the bracket alignment before tightening the screw. Tighten the screw to the nut. Lower the stovetop and reconnect the power and gas. This bracket locking screw is a heavy-duty 2.1-inch silver metal screw. It is designed for use on gas ranges manufactured by Frigidaire, Kenmore, Electrolux, and Crosley.
