This ignition set consists of an ignition breaker and condenser. It is made of durable materials and uses a mechanical switch to close the electrical system and make a spark. If these parts are not working correctly or are broken, the engine on the lawn equipment will not start so the machine cannot be used. If the ignition set might not be working, use a spark tester with a plug lead to test. Place the control on stop or shut it off and attempt to turn on the engine using a key or cord. There should be no spark. When in the on position, a spark should be present. If the spark doesn't occur, there may be broken wires, grounds, shorts, or defects, so the parts will need to be replaced. This ignition set is a genuine OEM replacement part that was sourced directly from the manufacturer.
