Bryan E Raleigh , NC January 01, 2017 Oven door on dacor stove did not close completely Learned that the problem is failing hinge springs that no longer force the door closed; ordered replacement hinges from y'all. Found a few key instructions on the same page as the replacement parts. Once they got here, followed the instructions from the web page to remove the oven door to a drop cloth on a carpeted floor. Removed the back panel of the oven door (five screws - three sheet metal screws one the bottom of the door, one machine screw on each side towards the top of the door), then removed the hinges (two more screws at the bottom of the oven door, then lift up from the bottom of the door). Installed the new hinges and the back panel by reversing the above instructions. Hardest part was to force the new hinges into position so the door could be reinstalled; used the old hinges as levers so the "ring" on each hinge would attach to the "loop" (it will make sense when you remove the oven door). Reinstalled the door, released the hinge locks, and closed the door - it now closes tightly.
