How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP3859103 / 00600072 Button

Replaced Buttons and facia plate. What I DIDN'T know was that the buttons, though they are just plastic and look identical, are not and they are labelled B through H. If you put them in any other way (and they do go in without a problem) the push buttons don't work right and you can't run the dishwasher. I wish I knew before hand it would have saved a LOT of trouble! Anyhow, once I lined them up and matched them all was good. 

I replaced the panel fascia and handle strip. I ordered the buttons in case they needed to be replaced also. The hardest part was replacing the bottom part of the door front. Another hand would have been nice, but I made it work. It took about an hour total. 

Put a new Facia Panel and Buttons on. 

Purchased new front panel and new buttons and door handle (just in case I needed them). WHEN YOU INSTALL NEW BUTTONS - YOU MUST INSTALL THEM ACCORDING TO THE LETTERS IMPRINTED ON THE BUTTON AND PANEL. There is no information to tell you this. 

Order parts by Model # and came fitting perfectly. Keep hardware endless as the pieces don't come with it. If you need the hardware make sure to order that as well. 

I used Youtube to learn how to replace the control panel. The video was of a different Bosch model but helped me enough that I was able to do it myself. I am a first timer.

Ordered the parts and installed very satisfied with the service and parts. 

I just removed the metal panel by unscrewing the Torx screws from the backside. The fascia is held on by 2 torx screws on the front. It's a bad design as someone else stated. Replaced the buttons on the new fascia and reattached all. The serial number/model number sticker that was on the right side of the door was gone, so I found the part number of the fascia/handle on the back of the part. I used that with a quick google search and found the part here. The fascia does not come with buttons or the silver handle. The handle can be removed easily by placing the fasica on a hard service, placing a screw driver horizontally on the center tab and giving it a quick tap with a hammer to pop it off.
