Randy E Hancock , ME September 01, 2017 Appliance: Model BOSH DISHWASHER The top plastic panel facia which houses the handle to open the door broke the panel is held on with two screws at the bottom which is a stress point and design flaw The parts from AppliancePartsPros.com arrived a day ahead of schedule. (I'm a big APP.com fan.) I removed the metal front door panel, then removed the broken plastic Panel-Facia which houses the handle. Because the buttons and handle trim needed to be transferred from the old Panel-Facia to the new one, I expected that, also being plastic, they may break when making the transfer, so I ordered all of those parts as well, which only drove the cost up about $32. If I broke one item in the transfer, then it would have delayed the fix and incurred additional shipping costs. Sure enough when I removed the handle trim, one of the plastic detents cracked. Murphy's Law. The plastic door handle is located at the top of the door. Dishwashers produce heat; heat rises; heat vents; plastic gets brittle when exposed to temperature fluctuations. Time required to replace the parts was fast; maybe 15 - 20 minutes cover to cover. Take it slow and be gentle with the plastic parts. David B Asheville , NC September 22, 2020 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHE45M06UC/50 Panel facia was broken and one button missing Replaced Buttons and facia plate. What I DIDN'T know was that the buttons, though they are just plastic and look identical, are not and they are labelled B through H. If you put them in any other way (and they do go in without a problem) the push buttons don't work right and you can't run the dishwasher. I wish I knew before hand it would have saved a LOT of trouble! Anyhow, once I lined them up and matched them all was good. Larry L Gallatin , TN October 28, 2017 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHE45M06UC/50 The control panel fascia broke where it attaches to the metal part of the door. I replaced the panel fascia and handle strip. I ordered the buttons in case they needed to be replaced also. The hardest part was replacing the bottom part of the door front. Another hand would have been nice, but I made it work. It took about an hour total. Daniel C Nashville , TN September 30, 2017 Facia handle on the dishwasher broke. I just removed the metal panel by unscrewing the Torx screws from the backside. The fascia is held on by 2 torx screws on the front. It's a bad design as someone else stated. Replaced the buttons on the new fascia and reattached all. The serial number/model number sticker that was on the right side of the door was gone, so I found the part number of the fascia/handle on the back of the part. I used that with a quick google search and found the part here. The fascia does not come with buttons or the silver handle. The handle can be removed easily by placing the fasica on a hard service, placing a screw driver horizontally on the center tab and giving it a quick tap with a hammer to pop it off. Read More...
