How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP3709962 / 00436476 Lint Screen Filter

Replaced it and looks like new. 

We purchased a new dryer lint filter and it fits perfectly! 

When the door of our Bosch dryer fell to the floor, we discovered that the metal hinge had broken in two places. The dryer is 10+ years old, but still working fine. Seeing the hinge was readily accessible (the hinge pins were inside the door behind a cover plate) simply by removing 6 bolts. We decided to also replace the lint screen while we were at it since it too was available. Additionally, we noticed that the freezer door handle of our 10+ year old Amana fridge/freezer was cracked. We decided to turn to AppliancePartsPros.com for the parts. Finding the parts using the appliance model numbers was quick and easy, and the checkout process was equally quick. The repairman explained that I needed to clean the dryer filter with white vinegar once a month. He then reset the shut off control at the back or the dryer and all was fixed. Josh, the repairman was efficient and knowledgeable. I finished scrubbing the lint filter and was back doing my laundry. I ordered an extra filter.

Wife ask me to look at this many times, looked fine to me, but the last time I look at it up to light, sure enough slight film could be seeing, on screen. Reread MFG operation manual. It said to wash it every 6 mo months. It started to work after washing it in mild dish washing detergent. You could see a slight film on screen. After washing it several times with tooth brush it WORKED. So we sent for a new one just in case this one started to act up again, or if they stopped making this filter. Bought a new one, not worth trying to clean it out as a new one is pretty cheap. You just remove the old one and toss it, slip the new one in place. No tools are needed but it won't let me submit without checking at least one (and not Other, tried that).
