How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP5617708 / 00623536 Door Cable Guide

Replaced cable guides and spring/cable assemblies. 

Installed all new components with improved spring mount. The job was easy once the dishwasher was removed from a very tight cabinet fit. 

Bought a replacement from you. It was easier than I thought it would be. 

Replacement kit from Appliance Parts Pros. Parts arrived quickly and repair was pretty easy. How to video was helpfull. 

Lower the dishwasher to take pressure off the top of the unit, removed the screws from the side mounting brackets. Wiggled and started pulling unit out while guiding the supply water hose, drain hose and electric cable until I had the unit out to access the springs to remove and replace them. It was a very easy job and the replacement parts fit perfectly. 

Just like the video from appliance parts pros showed. 

New spring kit. 

I had a few other things to do in my house ( changing transformer for doorbell), I called my Handyman. So work for the door was done by him. I showed him your how to do video for repairing this problem. ( from your website) I ordered all the necessary parts and was very satisfied that they worked well. I liked option of crosschecking for parts. Door hinge cable on the left side was broken and he replaced spring, door cable guide, and spring on both sides. It took him less than 30 minutes to do all. Parts supplied by you were better than original in the dishwasher. The only part I did not use was hinge bushing but I will keep it. 

Did repair as seen on video. Worked perfectly. 

I found a youtube showing a model similar to mine and was able to see the potential parts involved. I ordered the parts. I didn't take dishwasher from under counter until the parts arrived. Only 2 possible problems; no need to confirm, parts are cheap enough to replace both. I installed the dishwasher when the kitchen was new, so pulling it out wasn't a new experience. Took longer to get tools together, slide unit out and slide it back in than it took to replace the parts.
