How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP3674290 / 00492431 Ignition Device

Replaced faulty part, unplug and remove bolts, install new part, done 

I purchased the correct new ignition device for my Bosch oven and replaced it following the same steps outlined in the videos on this site. It was fairly easy to do, just take off the bottom of the oven with 2 screws, then remove the 2 screws holding the ignition switch and unplug from the back. Replace with the new one. Took about 20 minutes. All working well again. Thanks. 

Replaced igniter.. 

Appliance parts pro provided two major thing in assisting me to fix my oven, the first was a person to ask questions to through live chat. This was important so that I had the correct part to fix my oven. The other great help was a how to video that showed me how to acces and change the part. No other website provided me with this help. 

Replaced the ignition device. 

Spoke with a representative who located the part. The part arrived within two days and was installed in 20 minutes. Sure beats the $120.00 service call at $65.00 per hour with a minimum of 1 hour. i SAVED AT LEAST $185.00 

Replaced the ignition element 

I logged onto YouTube to find information on how to repair this on my own. I saw your company's video and went to your website where I located the part that I needed. It arrived quickly and with the excellent instructions on your video my husband was able to install it within 15 minutes. Thank you for having such a great company! You saved us so much money had we called a repairman. 

I replaced the igniter switch. 

Well, the bad news is this happened once before, the good news is that made it a lot easier to diagnose and fix and the previous ignitor failure was almost 6 years ago so I can't complain TOO much. AppliancePartsPros told me what to check with my volt/ohm meter to confirm that it was a bad igniter. The oven bottom panel had to be removed (two screws), the igniter removed (two screws) and the igniter leads disconnected from the circuit board (two quick-disconnect electrical connectors). Then, of course, installation of the new unit was the reverse.
