How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP4509481 / 00684290 Facia Panel

Removed damaged Fascia panel and then discovered that there were two Torx screws that needed to be removed. These hold panel to the dishwasher door. Had to remove start button (Part 109), wash setting buttons (Part 107) and the silver door handle (Part 108) from the damaged panel and put them on the new panel. The buttons were easy to remove and install on the new panel. The door handle was a little trickier. Once the center tab was pushed out the handle came out. Getting the panel to properly fit into all the slots was tricky as well. Had to completely remove the door panel in order to slide the door up into the bottom of the fascia panel. This was not apparent at the time and it took a few minutes to figure this out. After this was done, the job was much easier. Saved over $180 doing this job myself!! 

Fixed it in 15 minutes! It was easy.. 

Watch video on YouTube that showed how to remove it from a similar Bosch dishwasher. Took all of 15-minutes to remove and reinstall the new one. 

Ordered part from ApplianceParts Pros.com, upon delivery Husband installed. We did watch a youtube video of similar part being installed which helped expedite our replacement install. 

Removed screws holding the front door metal panel and slid it down and off. Next removed the top, side and screws through the plastic "ears" at the bottom of the facia panel. Took off the old cracked facia and slipped out the control buttons. Installed the buttons into the new facia (they are labeled) and reversed the disassembly process. Handle was last and just snapped in. I've had this problem with my Bosch dishwasher before. If you don't put your hand into the very back of the door handle slot and instead grab the very front edge and pull, it's pretty easy to end up with a cracked facia. Love the dishwasher, hate the handle design. 

I replaced the Facia Panel. Perfect fit, like new! 

Replaced it with a new bracket 

Removed (unscrewed) the old one and replaced it with the new one. 

Replaced the panel with a new one. 

When I found this site, the parts were easy to find. I ordered only what I needed so I saved some money. The best thing was the video on the site explained step by step how to replace the panel. It took 20 minutes to replace the old part.
