How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP2804452 / 00184590 Push Button

I was able to find the part on Appliance Parts Pro in about 5 minutes, ordered and had the part in three days. Dishwasher was reasonably easy to take the door apart and install the new switch. Took about an hour following instructions I found under Bosch. Total cost was about $30 total and saved a repairman visit. 

Part arrived on time and after taking the cover off was an easy fix. make sure to order the right model number. 

Replaced it. 

Ordered the new part and installed it. All works perfectly now. 

Replaced with correct part. 

Removed dishwasher panel and replaced power switch button. 

I looked up the parts on your site ordered them and received them in 2 days. I removed the screws on the inside of the door which released the exterior panel. I removed the top faceplate to expose the button controls. The new On/off button snapped into place easily. The new end cap fit on the end of the handle and screwed it in from the backside of the exterior panel. I put the panel back and replaced the screws. Then I put the faceplate back over the controls, replaced 3 screws and I was done. It probably took 20 minutes beginning to end. 

I removed the front of the dishwasher and the cover for the control panel and found the broken part. Took a chance online googling " on off button Bosch and part of the model number". Up popped a picture of just what we needed and that photo leg to Appliance Parts. 4 days later we had the part in hand and it was a relatively easy installation. $35 total cost with shipping instead of a visit by a pro that would have been a minimum of $190 or purchasing a new dishwasher for hundreds more! Very happy. 

Replaced the pieces 

By reviewing the schematic of the door provided on your site I could see that the part was accessible by removing the door panel. Then access to the broken part was easy and replacement took only a few minutes. Sure is a vulnerable part design that is susceptible to easy damage.
