How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP4482991 / 00611336 Door Spring

New parts 

I went online to diagnose what might be wrong. Next, I went to the Appliance Parts Pros website and watched a how-to video on changing out the door hinge cable and spring. (Excellent video gave me the confidence that it was potentially an easy repair) I ordered the parts, (spring and hinge cable) When the parts arrived (within 2 days) I installed them following the video. My repair was even easier than the video indicated as I only had to unplug my power for safety and didn't have to disconnect the water or drain lines as I only had to pull out the dishwasher about 18" to access the door hinge cable and spring. Took me about 15 minutes to pull out the dishwasher, remove the old parts, install the new parts and reset and level the dishwasher in place with the leveling feet and counter screws. 

I had a few other things to do in my house ( changing transformer for doorbell), I called my Handyman. So work for the door was done by him. I showed him your how to do video for repairing this problem. ( from your website) I ordered all the necessary parts and was very satisfied that they worked well. I liked option of crosschecking for parts. Door hinge cable on the left side was broken and he replaced spring, door cable guide, and spring on both sides. It took him less than 30 minutes to do all. Parts supplied by you were better than original in the dishwasher. The only part I did not use was hinge bushing but I will keep it.
