How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3959388 / 316455430 Clock Timer

Ordered the main control board and it was super easy. 

Purchased replacement clock/timer unit, took less than 15 minutes to swap out. Working fine now. 

Was Easy 

With a nut driver, I took off the back. With a Phillips screwdriver, I unscrewed four screws holding broken plastic. I removed the plug from the old timer with slip-joint pliers. Then I did the reverse to complete the installation. It took more than twice as long to clean up the mess behind the stove. Dust bunnies, dried peas, glass bits, and spilled sauce were all revealed. 

By diagnosed the problem. First unplugging HSI ignitor and seeing if i had power gp ignitor. When I noticed no power I checked all wires that contribute power to ignitor for cracks and burnt areas. From that point i knew it had to be control board. 

This was the easiest repair compared to my dryer when I replaced the heater core. The repair man quoted me $250.00, not including labor or taxes. I bought both pieces here for $123.00. It took me 20 minutes tops. The control board went out on my stove. I removed ten screws. Then took the old control board out, replaced with new one. Now I'm doing my happy dance at half the price. At first I thought it was the oven igniter and replaced it, but after that wasn't the problem, I connected my volt meter and found out the panel wasn't putting out the right voltage, I replaced the panel and works find. 

Went online to Sears with part numbers and found part, but delay receiving it was not compatible with my wife. Went back online and found this site. Part was available and shipping right away. Prices were also lower than Sears'. Received it within 2 days and installed it in less than 10 minutes. Everything working well and wife is happy!
