How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4587739 / 316557118 Oven Control Board

Received the new part with about 24 hours! Removed the back panel of or Kenmore range and replaced the Oven control board. 

First I located the breaker for the stove and turned it off. I then removed the cover to the control panel, five screws. Unscrew the control board, removed the face and placed it on the new control board and then screw the new control board in place. I then carefully removed the wires from the old control board and placed them on the corresponding terminal on the new control board. I then replaced the cover to the control board then turned the breaker back on. Finally, I check the operation of the oven - and it was fine. The home informed me that she has tried out the oven and it is working great, Thanks for your help. 

Received part took back off of stove plugged new part in .oven works great !! 

I purchased the control board and installed it. The video appliance parts pro has for repairs and installation of parts is excellent. Now that we've moved to a very rural area we have to do more repairs ourselves which is intimidating to city people used to calling a repair man. My husband and I love the support videos. We also bought the oven probe since our oven never heated to the temp on the dial. Installed easily and our over works better than new. Thanks. 

Took back cover off stove removed probe with one screw, four screws to remove control board reversed order to repair and I have a working stove. un plug stove first. 

I called an expert at Appliance Parts Pro and walked him through the scenario. He concluded that it was more than likely the Oven Control Board or the Temperature Probe. So I ordered both parts which arrived in 2 days. Prior to the parts arriving, I watched the AppliancePartsPro self-help videos which showed the step-by-step directions for installing the parts. It was very simple and took a total of about 20 minutes from start to finish to install both parts. 

The repair went great and the stove is in operation now. The part was easy to install and works perfect 

The bake element had sparked when turned on, and then the oven would't heat. The bake element was actually broken in half. I ordered a new control board as well because it seemed that it had to be more than the bake element alone, because the broiler element also wouldn't work. The video was totally helpful for installation instructions.I am a woman with no repair skills, but I did the troubleshooting and repair myself with the exception that I needed help identifying the tool to take off the back of the oven and pulling the electrical connections out of the old control unit. The regular mail took about 3 days, but I really didn't need my oven so I didn't choose the more expensive, faster mail service. 

My local appliance parts store didn't have the part in stock so I looked up the part on AppliancePartsPros.com. The part I needed was a few dollars cheaper and I was going the have to wait for the part anyway, so it was a No Brainer... the part was delivered to my door just as quickly as it would have gotten to my local appliance part store. My next door neighbor, an elderly woman, had the control for her over burn up. She could not afford a repair man to come out so I told her I would fix it. I got confused and ordered the wrong control. I called the Pros and the girl I talked to set me straight. She was very knowledgeable and sent me the correct part.
