Jeff W Fairbanks , AK February 19, 2022 The bake element would not turn on. The broiler element & stovetop worked. The most difficult aspect of the repair was the diagnosis. I ruled out the element and other possibilities with a multimeter. Fortunately, another reviewer shared the same symptoms as me and corrected the issue by replacing their control board. I decided to proceed with this, even though it was an expensive part. The repair wasn't too bad, ovens are remarkably simple appliances. I did have to physically remove the board from the faceplate to replace it. Other than that, it was plugging, unplugging and screws. Be sure to take a picture so you can put the wires back where they belong. Successful repair! I always prefer AppliancePartsPros for their high-quality information. Thanks! Read More... Patrick H Dixfield , ME January 28, 2021 Appliance: Kenmore Electric Range 79092303012 F10 twice My son who has autism threw a live doll at the stove pushing the EOC out. I did a temporary fix. The first F10 appeared. I unplugged it, took a closer look at the back of the EOC and discovered a component had burned out. Worked fine for a while til the second F10 appeared. That’s when I decided to replace it. It wasn’t the original part, but one that is compatible with the stove. I unscrewed the damaged EOC, put in the new one with the overlay transferred from the old one. Real easy to do. It’s been doing good so far. No further problems. Read More... THIS INDICATED TO ME THE BAKE RELAY IN BOARD WAS PROBABLY FAULTY SINCE THE WIRING WAS FOUND TO BE OKAY TO ELEMENT, PLUS ALL FUNCTIONS EXCEPT BAKE OPTION WAS FUNCTIONING. TALKED TO APPLIANCE PARTS PRO BRENT WHO CONCURED AND I ORDERED NEW BOARD AND OVERLAY. AS BRENT MENTIONED, THE OVERLAYS ARE STUCK ON OLD BOARD AND CAN BE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE AND EXCHANGE. Amy R Howard , PA December 21, 2019 Appliance: Kenmore Electric Range 79094212403 Neither broil nor bake worked. Stove worked I had to replace 2 control boards. I first replaced the one with soot marks around it. Still didn't work. I called your helpline, it turns out the other board was broken as well. The mainboard did not come with the face cover, but I was able to take an Exacto blade to mine and reuse it. It was fairly easy and saved me a lot of money doing it myself and getting parts from you. Not to mention free diagnosis! I couldn't be happier! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
