How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4512575 / 316557206 Clock Timer

Bought the recommended replacement part, reviewed the repair video provided by Appliance Parts Pro, then replaced the failed control panel. Worked great. 

Ordered the clock/timer panel; removed top back cover to access the panel. I found it easier to disconnect the wiring harness before removing the four screws that hold the panel, after removing the panel I very carefully peeled the overlay off from old part. (I used a sturdy plastic kitchen spatula to start the removal once it peeled off a bit I pulled off gently with my hands to remove it completely.) I then replaced the overlay on the new panel and reversed the removal steps to finish the job. 

Looked up stove #. did internet search for part #. ordered it. Rec'd part next day. Removed back panel. Swapped out part. Replaced panel. Done deal! 

Changed the Control module (Clock/Timer). 

Replaced clock/timer. It took longer to find the right bit to take off the back panel than to replace the part. I would recommend buying the faceplate also. I didn't know that it was just a sticker attached to the clock/timer so some of the white material stuck to the old part when I took it off. Aesthetically doesn't look great for now, but was able to use the oven for some jalapeno dip wontons last night. 

I found the photos on AppliancePartsPros.com exceedingly helpful. Other sites offered, what they called, identical item. It wasn't. The photos helped me determine I was buying the proper part. The price was competitive. Delivery was quick and as promised. 

Opened the box from AppliancePartsPros, saw that the part matched the defective one in the oven control panel. I spent a few minutes figuring out how Frigidaire had latched the multipin plug into the original board. From then on, it was simple. 

I ordered the part on AppliancePartsPros.com. Swapped out the control box works like a champ
