How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3776837 / 316415900 Bake Element

Watched the video, saw how easy it was, ordered the part, got the part two days earlier than promised. did just as the video said, and was done in less than ten minutes 

My l4 year old grandson installed the new one for me. Since I am so short I could not reach into the back of the oven. 

I removed the old element and connected it to my multimeter to check continuity, the old element was burned out. I thankfully was able to find the replacement on this web page. I ordered the part and with in days it was on my door step. It took all of 5 minutes and 2 screws to replace. Fast and easy and a hot oven again. 

Ordered a new heating element and installed it myself! Very easy! 

Replaced element 

I bought a new bake element. Once installed the oven heated again. We did notice the bake element glowing red hot in one section for about a week before it finally failed. 

Knowing which parts needed to be replaced, I found the AppliancePartsPros website....I love this stove in a biscuit color and refused to buy new. Locating the correct parts on the website was easy and with the video tutorials on how to replace I felt confident I could repair my stove/oven. Replace element 

Remove 2 small bolts Unplug 2 wires. Remove. 

Took off the oven door for better access, probably didn't have to but it was actually pretty easy. Pulled out all the oven racks. Used a 5/16 nut driver to remove 2 screws holding the element to the back wall of the oven. Pulled the element ends from the back of the oven exposing the female wire connectors, removed and reattached to the new element. Re-attached screws and Voila !. While the oven was basically apart, the "foreman" on the job suggested I clean it .. which took longer than the actual repair.
