The Bake Element is an OEM part for Frigidaire ovens, designed to provide the primary source of heat for baking. Positioned at the bottom of the oven cavity, this element heats up when electricity flows through it, radiating heat evenly throughout the oven. This consistent distribution of heat is essential for achieving perfectly baked foods, from golden-brown pastries to thoroughly cooked meats.

The most common cause for bake element issues is wear and tear from regular use. Over time, the element can become inefficient due to repeated heating and cooling cycles, or it can physically break or burn out. Additionally, accidental damage can occur during oven cleaning or when moving pans in and out of the oven.

Symptoms of a failing Bake Element include:

  • The oven not heating up to the desired temperature, or taking an unusually long time to do so
  • Uneven baking results, with some areas of food undercooked or overcooked
  • No visible glow from the bake element when the oven is turned on, indicating it isn't heating
  • Physical signs of wear or damage on the element, such as blistering, cracks, or breaks

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Bake Element (Part Number: OEM11330520)

1 Answer

Bill, with the power cord unplugged, it would be recommended that the bake and broil elements are tested for resistance to ensure they are within operational tolerance. The broil element 316430900 should measure 14.4O and the bake element 316505500 should measure 19.2O. If these test properly, the next step would be to test the oven sensor probe 316490000 for 1100O (plus or minus 10%) at room temperature. If the temperature probe tests within range, then it would be likely that the main control 5304495520 is failing to cycle properly.

Kathy, unfortunately, the model number provided is not registering as a valid model number within our database. If the model number could be verified and posted in a new inquiry, this can assist in the most accurate information being presented. However, If the model number is REG533HM*2, then the broil element would be part number 5303051516.

Kathy, The model number you supplied is incorrect or incomplete. Presuming you have a REG533HM*2 electric range, the broil element part number is 5303051516 / 5303051516 ELEMENT-BROIL. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks,

Judy, you may want to test the temperature probe for resistance. The probe should read around 1100 ohms at 80 degrees Fahrenheit and 1453 ohms at 250 degrees. It should read 1654 ohms at 350 degrees. The way to test would be to pull the range out, and test at room temperature. Then turn the range on to 350 and test the resistance once it reaches temperature. If the temperature probe does not read the proper resistance, then the temperature probe is bad.

Hi Vicky. Remove all power to your unit. Remove the back. Unplug one wire on the broil element. Use the ohm meter and see if your element has resistance of 18-40 ohms. If it is open then replace it with part # 316415900. If Your control board/ clock does not send the 240vac to the element, then possibly a relay on the board is faulty. Replace it with part # 316418704.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Thank you.
