Michael G Glenmoore , PA August 03, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer GLTF1670AS1 Machine moved through cycles filled the tub with water and drained but the tub did not agitate or spin I determined that it was most likely the motor or the speed control board, but had read that the motors are less likely to fail, so figured I would try the speed control board first. 1. Unplug the washer 2. Turn off both of the water supply line valves (if you don't do this water will get everywhere) 3. Disconnect the water supply lines from the washer with a pair of channel lock pliers (hold a towel or rag underneath the connection when you unscrew to catch the residual water) 4. Remove all the black, Phillips head screws that were holding the metal back 5. Lift off the back and put it aside The speed control board is to the lower left when looking into the back of the machine. 6. Disconnect the two plugs to the board 7. Unscrew the two Phillips head screws holding the board down and lift it out (there is a small tang that the front that slides into on the base) Reverse the steps 8. Slide the tang of the board into the hole and attach the two Phillips head screws 9. Attach the two plugs to the board 10. Put the metal back in place with black, Phillips head screws 11. Connect the water supply lines (hot to the connection by the H stamped in the metal back and cold to the C) 12. Turn on the water supply valves (check to make sure there are no leaks) 13. Plug machine into wall 14. Turn on the washer and hopefully watch the tub spin and agitate.
