How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3960308 / 318178110 6" Element

Very easy. Unplugged range. Took out 4 screws, popped 2 clips, 2 more screws on the element and it was apart. Reversed the process. It was completed in 10 minutes. It started with appliancepartspros.com web site. It was the best (easy to search for parts) I looked at several sites & came back to their's to place my order. Super fast delivery! I ordered it Thurs. morning, it was delivered Fri. afternoon. 

USED GOOGLE SEARCH TO FIND VIDEO OF PERSON REPLACING THE SAME BURNER. SELF FIX IN 30 - 45 MIN. 

I had visited the google site and found that the element was available and so I purchased a replacement element. Not knowing how to do this I visited a site that guided me through the replacement of the element. Element has been replaced and now working like a new stove. 

It was simple. Turned the power off, removed two screws located under the front of the stovetop and propped the top open. The procedure was pretty much, plug and play. Easy. 

YouTube showed me how to replace them. 

Replaced element.. 

Replaced heating element for glass top range. Remove screws, lift top. Remove support bar. Remove bad element. Put clips from old element on the new element. Replace, put back together. 

Ordered replacement element. 

Ordered a new element, watched a YouTube video, and made a Fathers Day project out of it with my son. 

This was a fairly easy fix. I did it in about 45 mins but only because I dropped a screw into the body of the stove. As a married mom of 3, this wasn't my first stove repair (I've done an oven element before) but I used this fix to have each of my kids help (holding the glasstop, positioning the burners while I reaffixed). I would have loved paper directions or a qr code to some but easily found directions online (used mostly to strategize removal of the little burner brackets from the main bracket).
