Tanya December 31, 2023 for Model Number FES365ECE I’m having an unusual problem. My front left burner stopped working yesterday. I thought I needed to replace the burner (part 15B or 318178110). But today I noticed that it still turns on, but only if the burner behind it is on as well (part 15A). I checked it with the other burners too, and it only works when the rear left on. This is a new issue that only started yesterday, but since the burner still works if the one behind it is on, then I have to assume the burner itself isn’t the problem, but some other part. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Tanya, Check the wiring of the unit to make sure that there are no damaged wires and if they are good then this will be a faulty switch. Read More...
Joe Anderson December 28, 2023 for Model Number FEF366DCD Two rear burners are not working. Bought replacements and will not work. What else could be wrong?
1 Answer Joe, Test the infinite switches to make sure that they have 240 vac coming in on the L1 to L2 terminals and then test to make sure that when they are turned on there is 240 vac out on the H1 and H2 terminals. Read More...
Ron September 05, 2023 for Model Number FFEF3018LBG I need the small six-inch burner. The part number on the burner is 318178110. I ordered a burner off-line several weeks ago and it was the right part number, looks just like the one that is bad. When I removed the old one and looked at the new, I noticed the spade wire plug on the new burner where two different sizes. I need the same part number with the spade wire plugs the same size (smaller) for all four wires. I cannot tell from the photos you have of the three different types of burners for my stove if either have the same size spade ends, items number 15. Any help will be appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Ron, the manufacturer has subbed the original burner to this new design, it is unlikely you find the old design burner anywhere, the reason for the different size terminals (1/4" and 3/16" terminals) was to prevent miswires of the power and hot surface light circuits on the burner, the burner's wire harness will need to be updated, replacement terminals are available locally in hardware stores. Tom March 22, 2023 for Model Number FEF369CGSB I have a Frigidaire FEF369CGSB range that is exhibiting some really odd behavior with the cooktop burners. 1.) The left-rear and right-front elements always work. 2.) The "Expandable Element" center segment will not heat, ever. The outer portion will, however, if it is switched on. 3.) The right-rear element will only work if one of the other three elements is also switched on. Maybe this isn't unusual, but it's definitely a new one for me, and I'm wondering how much all of this is related, or if I have multiple issues. I filmed a short video showing the behavior: https://youtu.be/a70kyPB2X_k
1 Answer Tom, Using the tech sheet and a multimeter check the wiring is correct to the switches and check the large element for an open inner coil. Read More...
Steven March 06, 2021 for Model Number FED365EBC The front left burner turns on to full hot and stays there no matter what you do with the dial. I replaced the switch (AP3960308) and there was no change. Is it likely to be the thermal switch in the element so I need the complete burner assembly (AP4368997)?
1 Answer Steven, The burner part number is 318178110 and the switch is 903136-9010. There is only 2 possibilities so if you replaced your switch without change then replace the burner and vice versa. Read More...
Darrell December 20, 2020 for Model Number Maytag CRE9600CCE Why are parts W10823704 and 318178110 not interchangeable? They look identical, as long as the correct terminal wires were connected correctly it seems like it would work. Just curious why the Cross Reference Tool says they aren't compatible. Thanks.
1 Answer Darrell, Because the part does not actually go to the unit the compatibility tool will say it is not compatible. While they will most likely wire up the same as the original you also have to look at the wattage of each of the elements to make sure that you are getting the correct or near correct wattage. Robert July 09, 2019 for Model Number CGLEF379GSB I need to replace a female connector on one of the wires connecting to the 3/16 terminals. Is there a part number or at least a specification that is required. This is the stovetop element. From what I understand 3/16" High Temperature Gauge 16-14 or 22-18?
1 Answer Robert, you are correct in that the terminal would need to be a high-temperature terminal. The terminal size in width will need to be 3/16 as that is what the original one is, and the gauge of the terminal can vary based on which wire is going to it. An 18-22 gauge would be the most likely size terminal needed, however, it would be best to compare the terminal or wire to a known sized terminal. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list what gauge terminal would be on which wire. Read More...
Paul November 30, 2018 I have an Electrolux Model EIEF55GSE Free Standing Perfect Set oven. The right front burner "Hot Surface" light stays lit and will not go out, even after the burner has completely cooled. What do I need to replace to repair this?
1 Answer Paul, For this issue the part that would most likely be faulty will be the surface element 316282100. Read More...
Donna November 11, 2018 for Model Number FGEF3032MFF The electrical power had gone out in a storm. When the power came back on the burners on top worked, but the oven does not. Any suggestions? I can't believe that a power outage would cause the oven to not be good anymore. Please advise. thank you.
2 Answers Donna, I would access the back panel and check voltage at the terminal block, you should read 120 volts from white to black, 120 volts white to red, and 240 volts from black to red. If the voltage is correct, you may have a bad control board. Read More...

2 Answers Donna, If there was a power surge when the power came back on it could have damaged a board. Try a reset by flipping the breaker off and letting sit for at least 5 minutes before applying power. Read More...
