How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031029 / WB44X196 Bake Element

Thanks to you and G E we replaced it. 

Using only the photograph with grid for measurement, I was able to match a replacement part that fit and worked perfectly . Other online vendors did not have or provide photos of the products. 

Received new element in just a few days. Installation took 20-30 minutes. Works great. 

I replaced it with appliance parts pro part witch was a original ge part now works fine took 15 minutes super fast shipping thank you 

Self repair, done quickly and tested successfully 

I ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros, it came very quickly, and I was able to remove and replace the element without any problems. I did watch the video on the website even though I had replaced bake elements before (my stove has two ovens--this small one and a big one) and found a good hint--make sure you don't let the inside wire slip into the back of the stove. I heeded that advice and had no problem replacing the unit. 

Replaced element 

Turned off the electrical breaker to the stove, removed two screws holding the element in the back wall of the stove, pulled the element out a couple of inches to expose the connection, removed the two screws connecting it to the wires. Removed the old element, installed new one by connecting the wires, pushing the element back into the stove wall, replacing the two screws. Restored power. Good as new.
