I did watch the video on the website even though I had replaced bake elements before (my stove has two ovens--this small one and a big one) and found a good hint--make sure you don't let the inside wire slip into the back of the stove. Martha Q Sanford , NC March 12, 2014 Appliance: Model J4660R1WH14 The baking element burned out in the smaller oven of my 1974 GE stove. Turned off the electrical breaker to the stove, removed two screws holding the element in the back wall of the stove, pulled the element out a couple of inches to expose the connection, removed the two screws connecting it to the wires. Removed the old element, installed new one by connecting the wires, pushing the element back into the stove wall, replacing the two screws. Restored power. Good as new. Read More...
