How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3661155 / WH01X10088 Button

After part arrived, Unplugged unit from power outlet and removed 3- 1/4" head screws from back of panel, lifted off control cover. Took picture of existing connection, Remove and swap over the jumper connector from one side of circuit board. Carefully disconnected wire connections (some have squeeze clips). Remove all knobs from switches at front of panel. Remove 4- 5/16" head screws which were retaining board on to panel. Lift off old panel. Reverse process to reassemble. Pretty straight forward to replace. Once complete, made sure all switches were in off position, plugged back into wall outlet. Washed 6 loads of laundry with no issues. This is a genuine GE part, which came in a GE sealed box. 

I Googled the product on the internet and up came Appliance Parts Pros. I gave them the info on the machine. Up popped the prints. I found the part and ordered it. Two days later it was in my mailbox. Is that great service or what. WOW 

On/Off switch was not working on our GE dryer. An appliance repair person told me he would charge $350 for the part and service. Purchased the part needed from AppliancePartsPros.com for around $130 (including S&H). The part was delivered within a few days and took literally minutes to install with socket set, pliers and a phillips head screwdriver. 

Replaced the rubber button switch which was worn. 

We took the cover off of the control panel and replace it easily, using a video from a similar part. Took maybe 15 minutes. 

I took apart the panel on the washer. Unplugged 4 attachments took out the old panel and put in the new one. Easiest appliance I've ever fixed. 

Ordered they part one day, received it the next day, changed the part! Wa La...done and doing laundry that night! 

This was for my 80 year old mother, she loves her GE washing machine and wanted me to try to do the repair versus purchasing a new machine. I purchased the control panel part, watched a 3 minute video and it is working great now! AND just to note, I am a female and it was a very easy fix after watching the video. Thank you Thank you! 

Installed new start button. 

I purchased the replacement board and it arrived in two days. It literally took me less than five minutes to remove the cover and knobs, disconnect the old board, install the new board and reassemble the cover and knobs. After plugging in the machine I tested the start button and it started up with the slightest press of the button. I then retested several times and it worked flawlessly each time. Now I have a happy life because I now have a happy wife - who doesn’t have to curse the washing machine every time she tries to start it. Easy ordering, fast delivery, and quick install - what more can you ask for?
