How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2061708 / WR9X502 Defrost Timer

Thawed out my GE refrig. Installed new defrost timer. All is well ! Thanks for sending the timer to me asap. 

Turn the timer to defrost heat is working good. changing the timer every things work good. thanks, 

Replaced the defrost timer with a new one. Problem solved

Replaced the thermostat, defrost temperature control and the defrost timer. 

Change defrost timer. 

Unplugged the appliance and removed the cover to get access to the part. Removed the two screws and unplugged the timer. Plugged in the new timer and screwed the part back in place. Reinstalled the cover and plugged in the refrigerator. Now it is back to running quietly and efficiently. This was the easiest repair I have ever done. 

Your company advised me as to the problem. I have in the past purchased many parts from you guys. This old Monogram refrigerator has been kept alive over many years past its bed time. Only once did I have to return a part which was entirely my fault. NO PROBLEM, I have estimated a savings of at least $1,500.00 in service calls and the price of their parts over Appliance Parts Pros. Doug. PS, you don't have to be an experienced repair person. Follow their advice. 

Once i put my ear close to the source of the noise I could tell it was coming from a thing that I later identified as the defrost timer. I just looked at the parts blowup until I found the same item that I was looking at in my own refrigerator. Easy change out. I watched the video first but certainly could have done it even if there was no video available.
