How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031003 / WB44T10018 Oven Bake Element

Replaced the bake element with an OEM part 

Easy fix. Ordered a replacement part from Appliance Parts Pros, and received it within two days. I shut the power off to the oven. Removed the old bake element by removing two bolts, disconnecting the bake element from the two wires (which were clipped together), but put a binder clip around each wire so they wouldn't fall back behind the wall. The new bake element was easy to attach to the existing wires. I pushed the wires and back-end of the bake element towards the back of the oven...screwed in the new bolts...turned the power back on to the oven and heated the oven to ensure the repair was performed correctly. Oven works perfectly and the whole repair took about ten minutes, and I saved myself about $200 by not needing a repair service to come to my house. 

Installed new element 

Turned breaker off to oven. Unscrewed two small bolts. Pulled old element put slowly and disconnected wire blades from element ( easily pull off). Removed old element. Replaced with new baking element. 

Researched model number to find the exact part and ordered it. It arrived in two business days. I viewed the repair video on your site to make sure I knew what to do. The repair took less than 30 minutes and was successfully completed. Everything work fine now and I save a lot of money over having the repair professionally done. 

Ordered a new element, watched the video on how to remove the old element and replace it with the new element. Price of cake. 1, 2, 3 and we were done! 

Turned off power to oven, then used nut driver to remove the two hex head screws. Then I removed the two wires from the old element and making sure not to let the wires slip into the back of the oven. I then reattached the wires onto the new element blade connector. Job complete, oven works fine! 

Replaced the old element with the new one I purchased at AppliancePartsPros.com. 

Just removed the two screws, unclipped both electrical connectors and reclipped the connectors to the new bake element. I reinstalled to oven's back wall with 2 shield screws. 

Replaced with new bake element.
