How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031003 / WB44T10018 Oven Bake Element

Watched the video and removed the screws and carefully pulled out the old burner. Detached the wires and secured with clamp so as not to loose wires Attached wires to new element and put the screws back. 

Part came quickly, YouTube video was helpful, oven is working again! All good! 

Myself. Removed two screws holding element bracket, pulled out wires and unplugged the connectors. That's when I realized that I needed to kill the MAIN circuit breaker and NOT just turn off oven on oven control. Caused a little excitement when I didn't do it correctly. Once circuit breaker turned off, only took a couple of minutes to do actual repair. 

Once I got the right part from Appliance Parts Pros, my repair was easy. I got the wrong element from another site. I just removed the old heating element with nut drivers and unplugged the wires. Installation of the new element was just the reverse - plug up the electrical connections and secure the element to the oven using the nuts. Turned the power back on and tested it - works great now! Thanks! 

I had burned out burner on my double wall oven. When I removed the burner one of the terminals was melted and the wire did not come out of the back of the oven with it. I did not have the lower oven on so I did not think that there was power going to the wires. Upon fishing around for the wire with a metal rod the breaker tripped. Had no idea that the wire was hot. I found the wire, replaced the end on it the burner. It is like new again but I never would have thought that the power was hot in that bottom oven so my advice would be to always turn the breaker off before fooling with anything like this. This could have been really ugly. 

Removed two screws, held wires secure and pushed the connectors from the heating element, pushed connectors back on new element and secured with tow screws, works fine. 

Ordered and installed the parts when they arrived. Because the model number had worn off of the oven, customer service was very helpful in assisting me with ordering the correct parts for the repair. Great price and speedy shipment. 

It was easy to do. I simply unscrewed the brace on the old unit holding it to the inside wall, disconnected the wiring, then attached the new element with the original screws. Important note-make sure to turn off breaker to oven before removing the original part as it is electrically hot even though the oven itself may be turned off.
