How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3793583 / WB44T10053 Element Convx

Iremoved oven door for easy access. Used 1\4 inch nut driver to remove cover and element. The most difficult part was removing the wires from the old element. Connected plugs to new element and reattached with nut driver. Put cover back on and done! 

Installed new convex heat element and temp sensor. Easy fix (with help of how to videos) took about one hour and a half. 

CHECKED BOTTOM BAKE ELEMENT, REMOVED AND TESTED. FOUND ELEMENT WAS GOOD. REMOVED COVER FROM CONVECTION FAN AND YOU COULD SEE A BUILD UP OF GREASE ALL OVER THE ROUND ELEMENT SO I REMOVED IT AND THEN I SAW A HOLE BLOWN IN THE ELEMENT. TESTED THE ELEMENT AND IT WAS BLOWN OUT. INSTALLED NEW ELEMENT RE-CRIMPED THE CONNECTIONS AND 3 MOUNTING SCREWS AND THE COVER. THIS IS A WALL OVEN SO IT WAS VERY EASY TO DO, WORKS GREAT. 

Replaced all two coils and temp control 

Removed fan cover (4 screws) and the old element (2 screws) and replaced with new. The wire(2) are conected to the element with slip on tabs that are tight. Be careful not to let the connection wires slip into the hole behind the element. 

Replaced element 

Replaced the heating element in the oven. 

After determining which element was not working and several reminders from my wife to order the part to fix the oven. Ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com at a great price and quick delivery (couple days). Just removed a few screws, replaced element, and done in 20 minutes. Wife was happy, I saved money, life is good!

I searched for parts for my oven at AppliancePartsPros.com and found the replacement convection heating element. The old element had partially melted and had no electrical continuity. Removing the old element was simple…4 screws holding a cover and then 3 screws holding the element. Just pull the element out and unplug the connectors. Reverse everything and we now have our convection oven working again!
