How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2023670 / WB21X5301 Oven Sensor Assembly

Replaced the thermal sensor using the instructions provided with the part by splicing into the existing sensor wiring within the oven cavity using the provided high temp wire nuts, getting the new connection through the insulation and out of contact with the oven cavity and screwing the new sensor back into the oven cavity. Post repair testing indicates success! 

Replaced the oven sensor assembly 

I found exploded parts view of oven and looked for oven sensor probe and control card parts. I also looked at great videos and read past repair stories. I decided the problem had to be one of the two parts (probe or card) and ordered both. I decided that the probe should be changed first rather than involve a circuit card. I changed the probe and tested the oven and it works again. 

I replaced the temp sensor in the oven. It was extremely easy and fast. One plug and two screws. Be sure to recalibrate your oven after the repair. Mine was about 30 degrees Fahrenheit too hot. 

Replaced temperature sensor. I did have to pull the oven out of the wall to get at everything. Easy repair. 

Replaced the temperature sensor. Ordered the part based on model number. While removing the old sensor, found that the connector type did not match that of the new one. Fortunately, two ceramic wire nuts were included with the new sensor. So, all I had to do was cut off the old connector, strip the wire ends and use the wire nuts to make the connections. Set oven to 350 and watched the temperature rise. Problem solved. Thanks Appliance Parts Pro! 

My handy dandy husband replaced the oven sensor last night . Seems to working good so far. The big test will be when I have a day of baking cakes 

With help from watching a video, I was able to pull out and install a new temperature sensor. It took about an hour. When I turned the power back on, the oven was worked correctly. I very much appreciated the assistance from ApplianceParts.

I purchased the heat senor unit for this oven and replaced with very little problem; the oven now functions like new.
