I have a very old GE electric range (1972). Tracked down the part number through GE. Their price for the part was triple what APP's was. I decided to order two 6" diameter stove top elements as well. APP had everything in stock. Still, I was dubious because of the age of the range. Also, I have been burned doing transactions over the phone.
The customer service rep was extremely patient and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised when the package showed up complete and in good order.
I am not a total "Mr Fixit" type. I was a little intimidated with the repair task ahead. But, I was really happy that the install went fine. All of the nuts and bolts were there in the kit and cross referenced to the existing parts.
Every thing is working (although the oven element may not be attaining the correct heat level - we'll see) - and I did not get electrocuted! & No returns necessary!
